A note on timing
Inspections are typically available within 1–3 days, subject to access, property availability and demand. Building, pest and PCI reports are then delivered within 24 hours of the inspection. ACT compliance reports require the property building file from Access Canberra before review, and we keep you updated throughout that process.

Meet the Inspector
Matt Thompson is a licensed builder in both the ACT and NSW with over three decades of experience in the construction industry. Since finishing his apprenticeship in 1994 he has worked across a wide range of commercial and residential projects, building a deep, hands-on understanding of how homes and buildings are designed, constructed and finished.
That breadth of experience is what Matt brings to every inspection. Years of practical work on site means he knows what materials are used, where defects tend to hide, and where corners are sometimes cut. It also means he can explain what he finds in plain English, without jargon and without overstating or understating what matters.
Matt started Clarity to bring that builder’s perspective to property inspections across Canberra and surrounding NSW. The goal is simple: thorough inspections, clear reports, and an honest conversation when a client calls to ask what something means.
